Works in Progress
Ciao, everyone! I think tis nigh time for an update concerning our emblem. So, as you know, I sketched in ink an idea of what our emblem should look like (check profile picture right now to see it). Daunted by the notion of creating a wonderous emblem on photoshop, I decided to commision the job to your fantastic senior undersecretary, George. Here is his emblem so far. Also, apparently George and Will (a member of DA) are competing and each making their own version of the emblem... what trouble, now we shall have to pick one or the other. Unfortunately, I cannot post Will's emblem-in-progress because he does not have it anywhere online at the moment. So that is all the updates on the emblem design so far. In other news, I believe that I have not yet explained my email address to all, "tiffydepoudlard" is French for "tiffyofhogwarts" - Hogwarts = Poudlard! ~Tiffy

actually Will didn't want to, but I did suggest it. I figured it would give two results that would equal one better winner but he declined... bah
I've been going solo.
!!! IDEA! Put it out there that I can give the raw ink to any club member who wants to try to do their own emblem! and we can increase participation and whatnot.!!

George, we have discussed all the issues with that... however, if anyone is interested in working on the emblem, email me or George and we shall send you inked emblem to get you started. Anyway, due to various issues, we will not have a competition for emblem design. However, we shall have a different competition upcoming concerning mottos/verses/anthems for DA. So mull over some ideas for that till we release more details concerning that.
anthems?! oh my god yes, we totally need an anthem. oohh you know what else we should do is put the emblem on a flag!
A FLAG?!?! ... Ha,as wonderous as that may be to those who want to pledge allegiance to... Dumbledore, I think the rest of us would feel rather awkward pledging allegiance, to anything really! On a more practical note, that would be expensive. So unless you want to take it out of your own pocket, I will not allow anyone to take funds from DA for a flag that will seldom be used. DA funds are strictly for DA parties and for spreading reading by donating books to public (including school) libraries.
well i personally don't know what you mean about feeling awkward about pledging allegiance to Dumbledore. it would just prove how truly loyal they are to Dumbledore. and we don't need to purchase a giant flag, we could just use a small piece of fabric and glue it to a stick or something. definitely not very complex. I would devoutly pledge my allegiance to Dumdledore any day!
Pledging allegiacne to ANYTHING is awkward, just in my opinion. However that's just me being... free-spirited... Also, there is still the expense of fabric for the flag and the process of getting the emblem on the fabric.
